DOCTORAL PROGRAM

CTTC is committed to supporting a high-quality PhD program by providing experienced mentorship and PhD research work supervision. CTTC has agreements with different universities for you to enroll in the University PhD program and carry out your research and PhD thesis work at CTTC premises under the supervision of CTTC permanent research staff. The research topic is chosen in mutual agreement between the candidate and its respective supervisor. As CTTC’s employees, you become part of CTTC’s staff and will enjoy the same regular benefits as the rest of CTTC members. We support PhD candidatures to obtain competitive grants, such as the Joan Oró grants to support research personnel in training contracts (FI 2024)) from the Catalan government, or other similar competitive grants. Another relevant program is the European Excellence program, such as the Marie-Curie European Training Networks. Given the successful participation we host a significant amount of Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) contributing to the overall PhD students’ community at CTTC.

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), resulting from a public initiative of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya).

Research activities at the CTTC, both fundamental and applied, mainly focus on technologies related to the physical, data-link and network layers of communication systems, and to the Geomatics.
